What do you carry in your vehicle? Do you have any special modifications or alterations for a shitty situation?
Emergency kits? Power Inverters? Lighting? Tools?
My own personal project (mainly for fun) is a detachable Air Intake snorkel. As I had to do a bit of flooded road driving to help my grandfather in the hurricane Igor which just passed through NL, And the only thing that kept me from getting water down my intake was the fact that I my front end stayed up momentarily just long enough to float past the flooded area. It was inches away from it and a bad decision by me but one that had to be made.
Pictures are welcome but you may want to blur out your Plate so nobody gets any ideas of breaking in.

My vehicle kit isnt as stocked up as i would like it to be, because i do alot of travelling.
BUT currently it has:
Couple cans of food Blanket Pillow Multi-tool Spare tire + Tools
And i used to have a small first aid kit + flashlight.
That snorkel is a good idea though.... but the only ones ive ever seen have to go up through the hood. Well i guess you could make one to kindof go out if the hood, if its poped.
My vehicle isnt really good for anything other then going through snow, that i am thankful for lol.
I dont think it would handle even a bit of water well.

I do a lot of travelling as well - I drive a company-owned Rav4.
I stock:
3 flashlights, all pocket sized. 1 pack spare batteries. My GHB stays in the Rav. Always have a case of water. Toolbox A variety of things always in it as a result of work.

I think an absolutely essential item to have in a vehicle is a small candle latern. It is amazing how much chill the candle can get rid of when you have a vehicle (or tent) buttoned up in the winter. With that and some warm clothes (perhaps a blanket) you could spend all but the coldest nights in the vehicle without having to waste fuel running the engine. (or if you cant because of snow or lack of gas) Here's a good one for ~$18 add a couple packs of candles and your set www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441771503&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302697119

THAT is actually an exellent idea my friend.
I would also need something to hold all my stuff without it braking in my trunk lol

I've been meaning to pick up a couple candle lanterns...
Still keeping my eyes out for a dollar-store model.

That makes perfect sense to have a small lantern, It's one of those things I never even thought of. I was thinking all on extreme and immediate things but that is definitely a great idea.
