Is it possible for a sheepdog to be a survivalist?
What qualifies one as being different from the other, specifically?

Interesting question. I think it's possible. In my eyes the difference between the two, without getting hung up on details, can be simple; a sheepdog is an individual who is prepared and equipped to help others in need whereas a survivalist is an individual who is prepared to help themselves and possibly their family when the need arises. Also, while both sheepdog and survivalist are prepared individuals, the former is more applicable in everyday life than the latter, while the latter is more applicable in SHTF-type scenarios.
Just my 2 cents without delving into details.

Good point.
I think the details is where we get hung up mostly.
Preparedness and compassion - the two things that clearly define each personality type.
