Scenario: Living in a geared-to-income area. One of the only 'owners' in the complex. Came to find a few instances of tresspassing and now, siding pulled off the side of my vehicle and scratch marks at the bottom of the window.
Idea's for deterrants?
I have so far: CCTV on both points of entry. Lights out front and back - not usually kept on, low output bulbs.
Was also thinking of starting a neighbourhood watch kind of thing... Called the police, failed to arrive on two instances of tresspassing and said that NW is no longer supported officially by local station.

I think an informal neighborhood watch is a good thing - meaning just neighbors that trust and look out for each other. So, get to know them, even the ones you may not like. Everyone I'm sure is interested in keeping there home secure.

It's an interesting situation.
In a low-income area, with people who are less concerned with my stuff than I can assume they are.
Came home from work one day and stepped OVER an individual who'd had a little too much to drink.
That kinda deal.
Putting up another camera this weekend, out the front - and keeping my guard up.

I just have regular switch lights outside - I have to see if the condo corporation will even ALLOW me to change them.
I've been thinking of putting together a flyer to drop off in mailboxes - just a general 'keep your eyes out' kind of thing - maybe host a meeting at the tim hortons accross the road.
SOMETHING needs to be done, anyways...
I'm not expecting to CHANGE anything - I just need to see some kind of combined effort - to KNOW that people are looking out, that it's not just me that has concerns...
